What information we collect
We collect only information you give us directly. This happens in three situations:
- Checklist form — your name and email address so we can send you the free checklist and related study-abroad tips.
- Newsletter sign-up — your email address so we can send you new guide announcements and application-season updates.
- Reader reviews — your name (or a display name), your country of study, and the text of your review when you submit feedback on a guide.
We do not collect phone numbers through any form on this site. If you contact us via WhatsApp, you initiate that conversation directly and WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies.
How we use it
We use the information you give us only for the purpose it was provided:
- To deliver the free checklist or newsletter you requested.
- To display approved reader reviews on the relevant country guide page.
- To improve the site based on aggregated, anonymised usage data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
Third parties involved
- Selar— our external payment and digital-delivery platform. When you purchase a guide or bundle, you transact directly with Selar. We do not receive or store your card details. Selar's own privacy policy governs the data you provide at checkout.
- Supabase — we use Supabase to store reader reviews that are submitted through this site. Data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, Inc.
- Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are most useful and how visitors navigate the site. This data is aggregated and anonymised. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as it is needed for the purpose you provided it. Email addresses used for the checklist or newsletter are kept until you unsubscribe, at which point they are removed from our mailing list. Reader reviews are kept for as long as the guide they relate to is actively published. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
You have the right to know what information we hold about you, to ask us to correct inaccurate information, and to ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
